Nonlinear positions at the Niels Bohr Institute

The international committee consistiting of S. Grossmann (Marburg), B. Derrida (E.N.S., Paris), U. Smilansky (Weizmann), J. Hertz (Nordita) and Aa. Winther (NBI) has selected P. Cvitanovic (CATS) for professorship in theoretical nonlinear physics (from a field of 20 candidates) and M.H. Jensen (CATS) for lectureship in theoretical nonlinear physics (from a field of 30 candidates).

Following the recommendations of the same committee, NBI director O. Hansen has called in P. Bak (Brookhaven) to professorship in condensed matter physics, and SNF has approved the appointment of T. Bohr as CATS lecturer in theoretical nonlinear physics, for period 1. September 1995 - 30. September 1998.

P. Cvitanovic's Carlsberg professorship has been extended to Sept. 1995 - Jan. 1996.

The international committee consistiting of J. Feder (U. of Oslo), S.R. Nagel (U. of Chicago) and J. Als-Nielsen (NBI) has selected P. Dimon (CATS) for CATS lectureship in experimental physics of nonlinear systems (from a field of 5 candidates) for period 1. September 1995 - 30. September 1998.
