In section 3.3 I showed that the visible particles in the soap film are unlikely to follow the fluid, so I will not try to relate the measurements to turbulence theory.

Figure 5.8 shows that tex2html_wrap_inline4715 is roughly proportional to tex2html_wrap_inline4849. This is different from the scaling relation for Brownian motion, where tex2html_wrap_inline4851. Using the relations derived in section 1.2.3 we find

so the collected data are not completely random.

These data should not be interpreted as data for the velocity field.
