A tip on using ssh for "local" remote logins

If you're tired of entering your password over and over again has you log on to the various machines in the group, do not dispear - the solution is HERE:
  • Run ssh-keygen
  • cd to ~/.ssh
  • Symbolic link authorized_keys to identity.pub
     ln -s identity.pub authorized_keys
If you have another user name on some other machine, you can setup ssh to use that name (no more of that -l switch) instead of your current user name. In the file add lines like:
 # Comment line
 Host = <your_other_host>
 User = <your_other_login_name>
