Sailing Page

My father have always been a sailor, and ever since I spent a year away from the sea, I've been interested in sailing. Initially I went sailing on my father's ship Artemis, a 20 foot Bandholm-like sailboat, and he tought me the basics of sailing.
During my first years at University of Copenhagen I sailed regularly, and two stays in San Francisco did not deminish the sailing, as I got the chance to sail on a Knarr with my friend George. Apart from the spectacular Bay, I got my first experience with (strong) currents and racing.
Now, my father and his friend Ole have gotten a new sailboat, Gipsy, which is a 38 foot Haldberg Rassy. This means that Artemis became mine (2003), and I share her with three good friends (Christian, Pernille, and Mikkel). Shortly after I got Artemis, I took a sailing certificate with Christian in Svenborg.
I've sailed in the Mediterranean for a month (sep-oct 2004) with two friends Mark and Quintin onboard their 41-foot OceanLord Skardu and raced in Sydney Harbour with Bob Skol and his crew of regulars onboard the fast and slim Scarlett O'hara (sep-dec 2006).
I'm a member of Kjøbenhavns Amatør-Sejlklub (KAS), sail quite regularly, and hope to sail happily ever after.
