Sydney - Bronte
Moving to Bronte... and away again!

Rock pools, so-named because they have been hammered out of rocks at the ocean's edge, are one of Sydney's defining characteristics,
along with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, though not as well known.

Bronte. Finally we could unpack all our bags and relax. This was the house that we would live in for the rest of our stay in Sydney - or so we thought! First impressions of our little house with a nice pool in the back yard was actually good though the place was a bit smaller than expected. But it turned out that we were sharing the house with quite a few ants and outside also giant wasps (everything seems to be giant here). So we only stayed in the house for four days, visiting the beautiful Bronte beach and playground while Troels was at work, and then after some hard negotiations with AirBnB, we moved to a bigger and better place in Edgecliff.

However, because of a mix up in dates we were without a house for one night, so we moved to The Pullman Hotel (with lot of bags!) in the center of Sydney. Situated next to Hyde Park, we had an amazing view of Sydney skyline and the park. So a bit unexpectedly we had a lovely day of sightseeing in Sydney and picnic in Hyde Park, which ended with a glas of red wine on the roof top terrace after the kids had gone to sleep - feeling quite privileged in spite of all the hard work of packing and moving house.

Our picnic trip into Hyde Park was a fun little getaway, the serenity of which can be seen here: Playing football with Storm to live music in Hyde Park.
