Applied Statistics - Week 2

The following chapters (including exercises in the book!) and computer exercises are considered read, understood, and solved by the end of the week.

Systematic Errors.

Chi-Square method.

Reading:

Chapter 4: Error propagation and systematic errors.

Cowen chapter 3: Monte Carlo method (notes can be found here).
     Alternatively, read the first three pages of the PDG on Monte Carlo techniques.

Chapter 6: Chi-Square (or Least Square) method.
