Outreach and public debate

I consider outreach an essential part of the contribution of scientists to society: not as a means to an end, but as a way to share the fascination of the natural world and to contribute to public discourse. This page modernizes and organizes the links from the legacy outreach page.

Topics

I give talks on galaxy formation, cosmology, gamma-ray bursts, the formation of chemical elements, black holes, and (more recently) the science–religion debate.
