A long time ago we were in Australia to study and research. It was a fantastic time in our late youth,
which has probably made a greater impression on us, than we would admit at the time.
We returned to Australia in the (antipodean) summer (Jan-Apr) of 2019, when I was awarded two
months research sabbatical at University of Sydney. Storm was 6 years old and Astrid 4, and so they
do remember the trip, but only in glimpses.
See Aussie Adventures 2019.
Given our love for that sunburnt country and that Storm and Astrid have grown (and covid-19 seemings over!),
we decided to go again! Once again, I was granted sabbatical (between teaching) to University of Sydney,
and so we are heading for our third "major" Australian trip, this time seeing the West Coast a bit, and
returning via the Pacific to make it our first trip around the world... in "record" 76 days!
